在英语中很容易区分两种“炎症”：
infection ：the pathological state resulting from the invasion of the body by pathogenic microorganisms。
inflammation：a response of body tissues to injury or irritation; characterized by pain and swelling and redness and heat。

肺炎是infection，而支气管哮喘是chronic allergicinflammation 。

说实话，炎症的发病机制及组织变化，记的不是很清楚了，老朽版主又让我们温习了炎症的生理病理知识，非常感谢。
